In the Copenhagen Auditorium, Kulturhus Trommen the sound system has been renewed with Meyer Sound Lina. In addition, includes five Ultra X-20 speakers, four 750-CFLs and six 900 CFL.

Located a few 25 kilometers north of Copenhagen, Horsholm is a community with diverse tastes in the performing arts and entertainment. Proof of this is the center Kulturhus Trommen, which hosts artists spanning a wide spectrum of genres. To offer optimal audio quality in both rock and folk or stand-up comedy shows, the place has invested in a reinforcement system based on line array speakers Meyer Sound Lina.

When the decision was made to replace the old system, the chief technician Thomas Love carried out an assessment of possible replacements before selecting Lina systems.

"We had a full month of concerts with shows every day", explains Love. "There was everything., from acoustic guitar and solo vocals, a musical by Phil Collins, a flamenco concert, a power rock trio and a comedian. The system lived up to expectations, with crystal clarity at all frequencies. All details are accurately reproduced, en contraste con el antiguo sistema que a menudo ocultaba errores y producía mezclas descuidadas”.

In addition to the nine Lina speakers, the new system includes five speakers Ultra X-20 for filling systems and, for low frequency extension, four 750-CFL and six 900-CFL low frequency as control elements. The system was designed by Anders Jorgensen of Stouenborg ApS, assisted by Theis Romme of Meyer Sound. The installation was also carried out by Stouenborg.

"The system with the Lina linear arrays and the 750-LFC flown elements gives them a full-range system that is ideal for folk., jazz, comedy and lectures", jorgensen clarifies. "The coverage is within 1,5 dB from front to back. later, when they need to rock, pueden agregar los seis elementos 900-LFC”.

Kulturhus Trommen, literally translated as ‘Drums of the House of Culture’, takes its name from the cylindrical exterior designed by architect Knud Munk. In addition to the wide variety of musical and theatrical events presented in the auditorium, Kulturhus Trommen also offers the municipal library and a gallery for art exhibitions.
