The Cathedral of Santiago entrusts its new sound system to Bose Professional

One of the main places of worship in the world and the end of the Camino de Santiago, the cathedral of this Galician city is one of the three most important pilgrimages in Christendom, along with Jerusalem and Rome, visited by hundreds of thousands of people every year.
The celebrations that take place inside the temple, along with the respect that is paid to the tomb of the Apostle Santiago, are followed nationally and internationally and very crowded, so having a clear and intelligible sound system is a must in the temple.
The decision to install a new sound system in the Cathedral of Santiago previously based on the organization of a comparison between the most advanced technologies and systems of the main manufacturers in the market, the result of which was for the proposal of Bose Professional.
After analyzing the requirements and needs of the new sound system, the project department of Gaplasa, Bose Professional distributor, was in charge of supplying the systems for GST, the company selected to install the system.
Bose Professional's sound solution is based on fifty speakers of the model MA-12, since a Array Linear helps focus coverage on the audience in the temple, sending less energy to surfaces, and thus minimizing reflections.
Twenty full-range speakers of the model have also been deployed 402-IV, designed for sound reinforcement, along with four versatile high-performance speakers DS 100SE, for optimal voice and music reproduction both indoors and outdoors.
The entire installed sound system is controlled and processed by a computer ControlSpace EX1280 and another of the model EX8ML, with the system ControlCenter CC-3D to which are added four amplifiers PowerMatch PM8500N Dante also from this manufacturer.
