4K-HDR Summit Málaga opens its edition 2021 and premieres hybrid format

the National Pole of Digital Content of Malaga hosts until next Friday, the seventh edition of the 4K-HDR Summit 2021 which for the first time is celebrated with a hybrid format, a face-to-face opening day and four virtual ones that will be developed through a virtual platform.

The edition 2021 of the 4K-HDR Summit, organized by Medina Media Events and that has the magazine Panorama Audiovisual as a media partner, has begun with the welcome speeches by the director of the National Digital Content Pole, Antonio Quirós, who has given way to a virtual greeting from the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, who for the first time did not attend the opening day when he was on an official trip.

Then the president of the association took the floor UHD Spain, Pere Vila; the CEO of RTVA, Juande Mellado and the Assistant Director-General for Radio Spectrum Planning and Management (Mineco), Antonio Fernandez-Paniagua.

The 4K-HDR Summit is the reunion of large companies, Managers, engineers, producers and managers in general of the UHD in Spain. In this unique face-to-face day, in addition to the greetings of the authorities, the UHD Spain Association will hold its first general assembly in which the 30 partners who founded it in January will welcome new members and it has been introduced The White Paper of UHD Spain, which has been coordinated by the professor Jose Manuel Menendez, of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).

The opening day has first-class speakers and a demonstration area where you can attend the broadcasts with exclusive 4K content, that since June is performing in more than 40 cities throughout Spain with two demonstration channels in Ultra High Definition (SDR and HDR), the UHD Spain Association. As well as the satellite receptions and the streaming of the channel in tests that could potentially already be seen by DTT more than 50% and on the Internet the 100% of the Spanish population.

Nokia surprise attendees with unpublished demonstrations. Among these is Amethyst, an interesting initiative based on music therapy with immersive video for the elderly over 5G; Disadis, basada en la seguridad pública con análisis de imagen por Inteligencia Artificial sobre 5G; 5GRecord, una experiencia con vídeo volumétrico sobre redes 5G para eventos; y el proyecto Ingenious, que demuestra el potencia de la conducción remota de un vehículo guiado automático con cabina inmersiva y vídeo en tiempo real sobre 5G.

En la 4K-HDR Summit 2021 participan multinacionales, profesionales y ponentes de países como Estados Unidos, Japan, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Romania, India, Finland, Mexico and Colombia. Entre las multinacionales presentes en la edición destacan Dolby (Us.), canon (Japan), Synamedia (United Kingdom), Nokia (Finland, Travel XP 4K HDR (India), Vestel (Turkey), Fraunhofer and Rohde & Schwarz (Germany) and Ateme, Eutelsat, The Explorers, Paramax and Saint Thomas (France).

On the Spanish side, first-class technology companies such as Cellnex are present, Hispasat, Tedial, Axion, as well as production companies and television channels such as RTVE, Canal Sur and Movistar+.

La NASA, the producer of the International Olympic Committee, the British BBC and the Japanese NHK, among others, complete an agenda with more than 40 Papers. These have a strong Spanish accent this year, especially for the constitution of the association UHD Spain in the past 26 January in Madrid, but that will hold its first ordinary Assembly in Malaga on the occasion of the 4KHDR Summit.
