Avanzia designs immersive showcases with smell and sound for the C.I. of Nuevo Baztán
This pioneering initiative of the Community of Madrid stimulates the visitor's senses with an audio and olfactory experience, created by engineering Avanzia, to know a new archaeological find.
the Nuevo Baztán Interpretation Center (Madrid) has presented at its headquarters a archaeological find consisting of a decree of the Convention of the 26 September 1793. Next to it are ceramic elements and burlap sacks with black powder cartridges (now disabled), dated in the so-called age of terror of the French Revolution.
Inaugurated a few days ago by the Community of Madrid, this finding has become part of the permanent exhibition of the C.I. of Nuevo Baztán, a space that shows the visitor the history of creation, development and evolution of this Madrid municipality.
Engineering Avanzia, in collaboration with the Community of Madrid and the management of the C.I. of Nuevo Baztán, has designed a de-experience showcase to value the pieces found, rebuilding with historical rigor, olfactory and auditory this space, while offering a new way to ‘feel’ museums and exhibition environments.
This pioneering initiative of the Community of Madrid stimulates the visitor's senses with an immersive sensory experience, based on history and archaeology.
For this action, safe and with all anti-COVID measures, it has been necessary to manufacture a special showcase in oak, respecting the conservation measures of the elements exhibited by the find, which includes a WiFi device Touchless for the visitor to olfactorily trigger a shot of gunpowder.
To complement the sensory experience, the user can scan with their mobile device a QR code to enjoy a narrative experience of auralized sound, that has been optimized to listen to with headphones.
