Peerless-AV adapts its Xtreme screen of 55″ to extreme climates

To meet the requirements of very hot areas, The XHB553-EUK outdoor Xtreme display is cooled with a fan that reduces heat buildup caused by thermal load from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Peerless-AV has announced its new generation of screens Xtreme High Bright Outdoor Display of 55 inches for applications in very hot climates and extreme temperatures. The model XHB553-EUK retains a high IP and is now lighter, with significant mechanical and operating system improvements, including thermal load diffusion, custom brightness programming, automatic source switching, power saving and pixel switching.

To meet performance requirements in hot or very sunny climates, The XHB553-EUK outdoor display is cooled with a fan that reduces heat build-up caused by thermal load from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

The operating temperature of the display ranges from -35 °C and 60 C, and patented thermal exhaust system keeps internal components cooled in extreme heat conditions.

Offers 2.500 light output nits with a sensor that automatically adjusts brightness and adapts to daytime conditions, reduces light pollution at night and optimizes energy consumption.

The XHB553-EUK display is a 25% lighter than the previous generation of 55 inches and includes a gyro sensor that detects any movement. IP66 rated, protects against water ingflow, dust, dirt, moisture and insects, and an IK10 tempered glass cover secures it against vandalism.

The Xtreme High Bright Outdoor Display can be much more than a standalone unit. Peerless-AV also designs and manufactures fully integrated kiosk solutions, including Smart City kiosks (KOP2555-XHB-EUK) and outdoor board menu (KOF555-1/2/3-EUK).

Peerless-AV will show its new generation of Xtreme High Bright Outdoor Display screens 55 inches and the latest kiosk solutions in Ise 2022 (stand 3F700), to be held from the 1 to the 4 February at Fira de Barcelona.

• Automatic switching of sources: allows you to configure the display to look for a secondary content signal if the primary source fails. This ensures that there is no downtime.
• Power Programming: allows you to set a specific time and date to turn on and off automatically.
• Brightness programming: eco-friendly and custom settings allow you to use default modes that adjust the intensity of the backlight level based on the time of day. An important feature at night, where regulations dictate the brightness of digital signage, especially close to roads.
• Power saving mode: it is possible to set the time for it to turn off or go into sleep mode if there is no content signal. The LAN port can also be set to passive or active mode to reduce power consumption when not active.
• Pixel offset: Useful if static content is used to prevent image retention. The horizontal or vertical scrolling of an image is adjusted to a specific frequency.
