Pixera control integrates Beckhoff's PC-based automation technology
As a first step of this cooperation, four software-based module connections have been added to Pixera control for system integration Beckhoff Digital, analog and DMX.
Beckhoff Automation has signed a partnership with AV Stumpfl to integrate your technology into the Pixera show management system. A company that implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas covered by its range of solutions are industrial computers, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology and automation software.
Pixera control is a software-based integration and management platform that allows you to host new functionalities within the Pixera media server system and manage all aspects of an extended project environment. Everything users create and integrate can be distributed and shared across their connected systems.
The show control system was launched on the market a few weeks ago. Enables specialized planners and system integrators to freely configure and create connections between a large number of audiovisual and multimedia technologies.
“Beckhoff is one of the most important and pioneering global players in the field of automation and control technologies. The international network of both companies will allow architects, Designers, specialized planners and system integrators benefit from greater integration of our real-time media server systems. In this way, we can offer complete solutions not only for the audiovisual installations market, but also for the audiovisual entertainment sector", comments Helmut Protte, Director of Global Business Development at AV Stumpfl.
As a first step in this cooperation, four software-based module connections have been added to Pixera control, enabling easy integration of digital Beckhoff hardware modules, Analog, serial and DMX-based.
Module integration is based on the ADS interface (specification of automation devices) by Beckhoff. In this way, inputs for effects such as light switches or photoelectric barriers can be implemented in existing systems, as well as analog inputs such as control dials and encoders, and outputs for switching motors or relays.
This approach to “connect and control” lays the foundation for an interaction of hardware and software components, which benefits system integrators from the planning and specification phase of a project.
Michel Matuschke, Beckhoff Entertainment Industry Director, underlines other benefits of cooperation. “A decisive advantage of Beckhoff's PC-based control technologies is openness and compatibility with all relevant interfaces in the entertainment industry.. In addition to integrating DMX, sACN and Art-Net, For example, now we can also offer seamless Pixera control integration for real-time media processing”.
Visitors who come to ISE 2022, that will take place in the 1 to the 4 February in Barcelona, will be able to know more details of this integration in the stands of AV Stumpfl (Pavilion 3 B600) and Beckhoff (Pavilion 5 N700).
