LG redefines at CES 2022 the viewing experience with a 97" OLED panel

Among the models and novelties that Lg presents in the contest of Las Vegas highlight the first OLED of 97″ of the market, the Alpha processor 9 Gene 5 and intelligent functionalities in your operating system.

The range of televisions that LG Electronics presents in ESC 2022 until next time 8 January in Las Vegas, incorporates its latest OLED panels, improved webOS operating system and numerous smart features and services to deliver an even better audiovisual experience.

With the latest advances in OLED technology, the new models of the G2 series lg have created a category of their own –OLED evo-, which is also integrated into some models of the C2 Series, to provide greater brightness and clarity in images thanks to the new Alpha Intelligent Processor 9 Gene 5 of LG and to the Brightness Booster technology brand.

LG's G2 series features a new 83" model and the first 97" OLED of the market, that complete the range of televisions of 55, 65 and 77" from the manufacturer. For its part, the C2 series also offers a wide variety of screen sizes and thinner bezels, with the first 42" OLED TV of the market and equipment of 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83".

Faster and smarter

Integrated in most models presented for the present 2022, the new α9 Gen intelligent processor 5 leverage deep learning (deep learning) continued to improve their performance and provide the images projected on the screen with almost three-dimensional quality through an even clearer and more spaced depth of field.

This intelligent processor also extends the capabilities of the fAI Sound Pro anointing from LG to provide a more realistic audio system, allowing the speakers integrated into the panels to produce a virtual sound 7.1.2 fully enveloping.

Updated UX

Latest version of LG's Smart TV platform delivers an enhanced user experience, with a more comfortable use and a wider way to discover new content. The new one webOS 22 presents unique profiles so users can enjoy a personalized viewing experience.

Through each profile it is possible to configure quick access to favorite applications, get personalized content recommendations based on viewing history and receive real-time alerts of favorite content. The login in the profiles can be done from the TV browser or from the mobile with NFC Magic Tap.

This last app can also be used to project the screen of a mobile device onto an LG TV.. Another possibility is to project content from one TV to another in the home using Room to Room Share, that allows the display of content by cable or satellite on another computer via Wi-Fi, without an additional decoder.

A novelty of this year is the incorporation of Always Ready, that turns an LG TV into a multimedia display when not in use. Easily configurable in the computer menu, this function is activated by simply pressing the power button on LG Remote to transform the panel itself into a digital canvas that displays any work of art you want, in addition to projecting live time or playing all kinds of musical styles.

In addition, updating the smart app ThinQ LG will allow new TVs to become smart home hubs, with easy-to-use voice control, compatible with other devices that integrate this smart technology and now with Matter support, a new industry standard for a safer, more connected smart home.

Certification and QNED range

LG continues to evolve its OLED technology and the panels of this new range have been certified by the global product testing agency Intertek, with a color fidelity of 100% and a color volume also of the 100%.

All LG OLED TVs from 2022 are certified by TÜV Rheinland for their low blue light performance and are the first in the world to date to meet the low blue light emission requirement certified by Eyesafe, U.S.-based health standards agency.

In this sense, the manufacturer has also expanded its range of QNED TVs this year, that integrates your technology Quantum Dot NanoCell, with a color reproduction of the 100% to deliver vivid and accurate colors in the brightest and darkest areas of a scene.

All models from the series QNED90 are certified by a color consistency of 100% so that viewers get an image of optimal quality at all times, even from different viewing angles.⁹

Interactive experience

At CES 2022, the manufacturer shows the new services added to its equipment this year to facilitate more personal and interactive experiences.

LiveNow: this application offers online access to concerts, Shows, sports and other events premium live where users can actively participate.

1M HomeDance: created in collaboration with 1Million Dance Studio, one of K-Pop's most popular choreography teams, this app offers a wide selection of tutorials to help users perfect their dance moves through camera mode while dancing together with professional choreographers.

LG Fitness: this platform stimulates users to a healthier lifestyle, with training plans based on the recommendations of the application itself or with the creation of your own choosing from a variety of options already pre-established, Etc.

Independent: thanks to this new application, users can help take care of their family members remotely through LG TVs, as well as encouraging older people to be even more independent. This interactive health system compatible with LG TVs has an intuitive interface that makes it easy for users to start a video chat with a caregiver or easily access a menu of professional services to take care of their own.
