Prilux Group illuminates the open classroom 'free of viruses' created by the University of Huelva
This unique classroom of the UHU, ready to teach classes, host exhibitions, Presentations, Etc; It has a semi-industrial lighting of Prilux Group that provides uniformity to develop any activity of a conventional class.
With the aim of curbing infections due to the pandemic, the University of Huelva (UHU) has inaugurated the first outdoor classroom nationwide, ready to teach classes, host exhibitions, project presentations and more.
He points this out. Maria Antonia Peña, rector of the UHU: "the pandemic has put in value the development of outdoor activities and the University of Huelva is committed to it".
This classroom has been designed as a sloping roof, curved on wooden porticoes, whose lighting is in charge of Arsenco, as a construction company of the project, the distributor Onulec and the products of Prilux Group installed in this space.
The main objective of the Prilux lighting project is to provide semi-industrial lighting in an outdoor space that provides uniformity of light so that students and users can carry out any type of activity that is usually carried out in conventional classrooms..
To achieve this, three types of luminaires manufactured by Prilux have been installed, in particular the models Kela, Greco and FlexiLight Led Neon What, along with technology Dali facilitate manual regulation by means of pushbuttons to control linear ceiling lighting, depending on the needs of the activities that are developed at all times.
"The sector has very controlled the lighting of classrooms in enclosed spaces, but this project is pioneering and had to validate a lighting model suitable for the characteristics it presents. We have found a combination of luminaires and technology that allows an effective light, both for teaching and for other activities planned by the UHU, such as exhibitions or project presentations", Explains Carlos A. Pretel, CEO of Prilux.
Like others in projects carried out by Prilux, installed models promote energy efficiency and savings, without leaving the necessary lighting at all times. In addition, is an innovative company in the study of light and how it affects living beings, regulating the physiological functions of the organism or the so-called 'circadian rhythms'.
All this has allowed the company to create different lighting schemes that adapt according to the learning requirements of the students.: using warm lights (2.700K) and low lighting levels (300Lx) for activities where greater relaxation and tranquility are sought; with lights of cold tones (6.500K) and higher lighting levels (1.000Lx) to promote concentration and visual acuity, or maintaining a 4,000K and 500lx scheme for normal work.
Specifically and after making measurements for months, Prilux Group has shown at the International School San Patricio de Toledo that the change in color temperature (Tcc) and the level of lighting directly affects the behavior of students during the school day.
