Sharp NEC Display transforms the Berlin Walbusch with Led modules
The fashion brand Walbusch has taken the step of renewing its analog advertising media by large Led walls, configured with FE series indoor modules Sharp NEC Display without bezel and pixel pitch of 1,5 Mm.
Achieving the perfect mix between tradition and modernity has been the goal of the German family firm Walbusch, who has trusted the integrator KL Digital to transform the analog advertising systems of your Berlin store, in Spandau Arcaden, with digital signage systems.
As he explains Oliver Maaßen, Senior Project Manager at KL Digital, "The digital signage solutions required by Walbusch had to be especially large and in vertical format 3:4. However, this format is rarely found in current display solutions, so we turned to flexible individual modules that we could then put together to turn them into large visual walls.".
In addition to the size and format of the installation, another of the bases of the project was the design of the solution, with the highest possible resolution and contrast systems; of simple and fast maintenance and that they also fit into the new concept of wooden store so that the customer's shopping experience was not disturbed.
Christian Schmäling, Director of KL Digital, Adds: "with these challenges in mind, we realized that a Led solution made more sense for Walbusch. This technology is especially durable and offers the customer a wide range of colors that can be displayed very brightly., especially important for the shopping experience offered by a high-quality fashion brand like this".
After comparing the proposal of several suppliers, the option has been the Led display technology of Sharp/NEC. "We liked the high resolution of their products and how easy it is to maintain and repair them.. Quality and safety were the decisive factors in this case carried out in collaboration with the German specialist Ben-Hur".
In the Store of Spandau Arcaden have been installed two Led walls composed of several interior modules of the NEC FE series, each of 1.8×2,4 metre; to this is added the system FE015i2 with a pixel pitch of 1,5 Mm; while for the showcase KL Digital opted for the model FE025i2 of 2,5 Mm.
Thanks to frameless design, KL Digital was able to easily transform each individual FE module into continuous image surfaces, without any obstruction of the bezels. Products Slimline have very low heat radiation, allowing them to be installed near the wooden panels, integrating led walls into the overall concept of the store, added to the front access to the modules for easy maintenance.
