Vitec Group acquires professional microphone manufacturer Audix

The Audio Company Vitec Group, through its subsidiary Imaging Solutions, has acquired the American microphone firm Audix, that will join your brands Joby, Rycote and Vitec.

Based in the UNITED Kingdom, Vitec Group focuses on product development for content creators and will use the acquisition of Audix to create a new business base that will focus on R&D, manufacturing and sales for its various brands of microphones in the United States.

Audix, specialized in professional audio, joins Vitec's other microphone brands, as Rycote , which develops microphones for transmission and production, and Joby, that focuses on more basic level users.

According to the terms of the acquisition, the Audix team and its facilities in Wilsonville (Oregon) will become a audio R&D center of excellence of Vitec Imaging Solutions, subsidiary of the group, that will address the design, the development and manufacture of microphones in all Vitec audio firms, in addition to contributing your sales capabilities, marketing and e-commerce to develop the Audix brand worldwide and focus on wireless applications.
