When the Chartres Town Hall changed its old headquarters for a more modern and functional space, awarded the project to Wilmotte & Associés Architectes, who devised a proposal that symbolized "a dialogue between the old and the new, between the ancient and the modern", in which the restoration of the historic Hotel Montescot was added (World Heritage of the UNESCO), as well as the restructuring of the perimeter surroundings.
