Epson EB-PU 2200U: new generation of ultralight 3LCD laser projectors for installation

With a power of 20.000 Lumens, the EB-PU 2200U series of Epson Offers, in a compact and ultra-light format, sustainable and efficient operation in consumption and noise; liquid cooling system and quick and easy assembly for the installation and rental market.

The new generation of 3LCD laser projectors EB-PU 2200U "it is the most compact and lightweight in the world in 20.000 Lumens, developed to continue driving sustainable digital transformation in the event sectors, education, retail, auditoriums and experiential marketing", has assured Matteo Riva, of Epson's ProAV division, in the presentation to the media.

Composed of models EB-PU2220B and EB-PU2120W, this range replaces the series EB-L20000U, present in numerous facilities, providing a size a 70% more compact and a 50% lighter than the previous series, which facilitates its assembly in fixed and rental installations.

specifically, the new range offers users advantages such as a compact size, with the power supply in a very small chassis; and a weight of 24,9 Kg. that facilitates its transport, storage and handling by a single person, with easy maintenance thanks to its laser technology.

To this is added a quick installation with a simpler hitch, and an easy and precise configuration thanks to the incorporation of a camera that allows you to adjust the projectors in chain and align the image on the screen.

As you pointed out Roger Artigues, director of the video projection division of Epson Ibérica, "Our latest generation of ultra-light and compact 3LCD high-brightness projectors will become the industry benchmark for quality and flexibility, which will not only save installation time and shipping costs, but it will also reduce the environmental impact for the important and growing market segment of 20.000 lumens".

For the development of this new range "we have taken into account the feedback of our customers and believe that the EB-PU 2200U series of projectors responds to the market's need for more compact high brightness display solutions, that take up less space, lighter, reliable and versatile".

The PU2200 series includes models of 13.000, 16.000 and 20.000 Lumens, WUXGA resolution with 4K enhancement, HDR and advanced features to make it easy to work in the rental and installation market, such as compatibility with Epson lenses and their flexible integration into infrastructures and existing with little maintenance.

All models in the range include functions that provide easy installation, capacity of installation in stacking, no need for a computer, via a built-in processor, that allows you to install two compatible projectors to double the brightness without external software.

Among other additional functions, the NFC for easy installation, allowing communication between projectors and Android smart devices compatible with this technology, even when the projector is turned off or just by opening the packaging.

Epson EB-PU 2200U also includes protection improvements against external agents such as dust, so the optical engine is hermetically sealed, as well as the laser light source unit, certified IP5x, ensuring greater durability, to which is added its high-efficiency liquid cooling system.

Sustainable digital transformation

In a context in which large companies, SMEs and micro-SMEs face the challenge of adapting to the new digital economy in a sustainable way, "Epson has a real and measurable commitment to developing solutions that put innovation at the service of sustainability", Says Maria Zaragoza, director of marketing and communication of the Iberian subsidiary.

In this sense, the new range of 3LCD projectors brings important advantages in sustainability, as a lower energy consumption (1.500 Watts, one 32% less consumption per lumen than previous models), and a significant reduction in packaging components, which translates into a lower carbon footprint.
