Samsung Neo QLED 8K shows the beauty of the stained glass windows of the Sagrada Familia
With this initiative, The Korean firm puts technology at the service of culture. Through 16 Neo QLED televisions 55 and 85” shows the first 8K content produced from the Sagrada Familia.
Samsung Electronics Iberia and the Holy Family Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to develop and promote initiatives, actions and projects that favor the technological innovation of the basilica.
Within this agreement, Samsung has installed in the basilica 16 televisions with the most advanced technology, Neo QLED 8K, with inches between 55 y 85 inches. These are capable of reproducing a realistic and vivid image of the different spaces of the temple thanks to its color palette that offers more than one billion colors and is capable of reproducing the 100% color volume.
The audiovisual project covers both the renewal of the current equipment with Neo QLED 8K televisions and the production of the video “Sagrada Familia: Stained Glass” made in 8K quality and will also feature images recorded with smartphones Galaxy S22 Ultra that are part of the Samsung technological ecosystem.
The video includes with technique time-lapse to capture the movement of light and the color generated by the sun as it passes through the stained glass windows.
The great advantage of 8K lies in the quality and sharpness of the image. It has a higher concentration of pixels on the screen, obtaining a much sharper image and therefore better resolution. This initiative will allow the beauty and light of the stained glass windows of the Sagrada Familia to be shown with an image quality never seen before..

He Mobile World Congress, which today has opened its doors in Barcelona until 3 March, will witness the beginning of this initiative that is part of Samsung's commitment to culture through its 'Technology with Purpose' program whose objective is to develop projects aimed at bringing culture closer to all people.
