Robe drives the change to Led lighting of the Aan de Parade theater
Until reopening, the production of this theatre from the Netherlands takes place in the main hall of the exhibition centre, equipped with mobile luminaires Steal T1 Profile and LedBeam 350s.
Closed for a complete renovation, the Aan theatre of Parade (theater Aan de Parade by Den Bosh), located in the city of Brabant (Netherlands), will reopen its doors in 2023. During this time, the theater performs productions in eight places in the city and its surroundings.
One of them is the so-called Living room 8 of the Brabant Exhibition Centre, with the capacity to 860 seating and the largest of the temporary rooms, that for the production of this theater has moving lights T1 Profile and LedBeam 350s of Steal, specified by the lighting designer Gertjan Stads (in the attached image) and supplied by Unlimited Vision & Sound.
These new luminaires replace the profiles Robe DL4S and LedWash 300+ that already possessed the theater to configure a versatile multipurpose equipment, located on the roof, and illuminate different shows with more powerful and efficient models.
The LedBeam 350 have been distributed on the sides of the stage (six in each), replacing previous systems to add more layers of color and functionality.
In addition to mounting their own productions, Parade's Aan theatre makes it easy for visiting productions and shows to work with the lighting plot provided, replicating it if necessary and whenever possible. "With more moving lights in the team, this is a much easier process", says Gertjan Stads.
With four or five shows a week in this space, changes must be rapid and the variety of shows that need to be illuminated is diverse. "It's fantastic to have these new Robe devices and to create theatre again," Stads said.. Their luminaires combine brilliantly with some of the conventional ones we still use., which will potentially help this transition to Led. I think in the long run this will help convince theatres and other places to switch to LED lighting.".
