Gran Vía metro station controls its lighting with iLight and MA Lighting
With the control systems of iLight and MA Lighting the light design of this Madrid metro station has been modernized. It allows you to program special illuminations for large occasions and manage the 661 luminaires of platforms and corridors.
A few months ago the integral renovation of the Madrid Metro Station Gran Vía, which has included the installation of the systems iLight and GrandMA3 onPC. The solution, made up of Stonex, allows you to control the luminaires and leave programmed effects for any need.
The lighting of the main lobby and the exterior temple has RGB Led luminaires, controlled by GrandMA3 onPC software and 2 Port Node of MA Lighting.
Thanks to the stability of ma lighting software, it is possible to perform complex schedules that are then easy to handle by the staff of Metro de Madrid. In addition, the 'Agenda' function makes it possible to set a lighting design for a specific date and to be repeated in time automatically, as a special lighting for each Christmas or day of the Community of Madrid.
The system is incorporated into a PC dedicated to GrandMA3 onPC software, with a multi-touch screen that makes it easy to use. The innovation and robustness of onPC solutions make them an ideal choice for fixed installations with advanced lighting needs, such as metro stations or other unique spaces.
When it comes to managing 661 luminaires placed on the platforms and corridors of one of the busiest stops in the world, saving space and gaining in simplicity and results is key.
The three-module iLight system SCMD4 and a module SCMD2, offers simpler lighting controls, thanks to its EG2 interface and the CSR053 keypad. This causes the luminaires and relays to be turned on. iLight Dali be very intuitive.
With the iLight solution, it is possible to control a large volume of luminaires from a format so compact that it can be adapted to any installation, without occupying large spaces and reducing costs. The Dali system does not only work with luminaires as in this case, but it can connect with other elements such as multi-sensors or emergency lights.
Thanks to this integration of lighting control systems made by Stonex, the renovated Gran Vía metro stop becomes a living station, that adapts to every occasion also with its lights.
