Snap One Control4 MultiDisplay Manager

The new MultiDisplay Manager tool Snap One allows you to easily manage multiple screens and sources, in addition to independently controlling audio and creating presets.

Control4 MultiDisplay Manager is the new tool designed by Snap One to control multiple digital displays, TVs and projectors from a single page; as well as select audio sources, regardless of active video, and create presets to reconfigure the room instantly.

According to Scott Normand, Snap One Chief Commercial Officer, Control4 partners can now offer simple and advanced control for restaurants, SMEs and retail environments where multiple screens are used, along with an audio distribution system.

“The new MultiDisplay Manager is a platform enhancement that demonstrates that Control4 is now developing meaningful features for commercial applications that add value for both integrators and end users.”, comments Normand. “With the native ability to integrate and control multiple video displays, plus independent audio selection and the ability to add presets for one-touch access, MultiDisplay Manager enables Control4 partners to successfully deploy these systems.”

MultiDisplay Manager is available on all new and existing Control4 systems that have been upgraded to OS 3.2.4 or more recent.

The tool has been developed and implemented through a beta program in previous versions of the operating system, with the opinion of integrators across different hardware configurations and installation scenarios.

In addition to the simple selection of sources for multiple screens and one of audio selected independently, MultiDisplay offers end users a swap button to toggle two sources between two selected screens and the ability to save common settings as a preset.

Control4 has added drivers to support its partnership with Yamaha's commercial audio products, including MTX DSPs, XMV amplifiers and MY I/O cards. “This component allows to build a fully integrated audio and video system in hospitality and retail environments, using Control4 as the backbone”, adds Normand.
