Sony trusts Andreu Casasnovas with the management of the subsidiary in Iberia
After directing the audio and video area of Sony Europe, Andreu Casasnovas has been appointed Managing Director of the company for Spain and Portugal, replacing Alberto Ayala, who will develop new responsibilities at the continental level.
As head of Sony Iberia and thanks to his experience as director of the audio and video division of the multinational in Europe, Andreu Casasnovas assumes this new role with the aim of developing a business strategy in Spain and Portugal "that highlights the value in creating unique experiences for users, both professionals and technology lovers", according to the statement.
"I am very proud to be able to run Sony's business., the company where I have grown personally and professionally, in a market as relevant as the Iberian -declared Casasnovas-. From the general management in Spain and Portugal I will try to contribute my experience to continue improving our presence in both countries, open a new stage in a different context than before the pandemic and continue to put in its place a long-standing brand like this".
The new CEO at Iberia replaces Alberto Ayala, who has held this responsibility since the end of the year 2018 and now he will return to Sony Europe to develop new tasks in the continent.
Andreu Casasnovas, telecommunications engineer, MBA from Esade and PDD from Iese, has been with Sony for nearly twenty-five years, during which he has held different positions in the marketing and sales departments.
Since the end of 2018, Casasnovas led Sony Europe's audio and video department as alberto Ayala's successor and has developed highly successful product launches in the market, such as wireless headphones Sony WF-1000M4 and the newly presented LinkBuds.
