Audio-Technica 60 anniversary Hideo Matsushita

The Japanese manufacturer of transducers Audio-Technica has celebrated sixty years since its founder, Hideo Matsushita, created the company and presented its AT-1 capsule on the market.

After witnessing vinyl audition sessions during his tenure at Tokyo's Bridgestone Museum, Hideo Matsushita it was proposed that many more people could also experience the warmth of analog sound, for what he founded Audio-Technica in a small apartment in Shinjuku (Japan) and began to develop phonographic capsules.

The first two products of this business initiative in the audio environment, the AT-1 capsules and AT-3, achieved great success and allowed Matsushita to expand his business, opening a larger headquarters in Machida, from which the company continues to operate today.
