The Santiago Apostol church invites you to gather with Biamp technology

The speakers Biamp Desono DP6 provide optimal acoustics and coverage in this large church in the Italian city of Ferrara, without its aesthetics and atmosphere of recollection being affected.

The new church of Santiago Apóstol in the Italian city of Ferrara offers the faithful a space of recollection surrounded by works of art and a unique architecture, in which the light that enters through the great skylight envelops everything.

Work of the architect Benedetta Tagliabue, of the study Miralles Tagliabue E.M.B.T, the design of the audio solution for this church has been developed by the Italian specialist Audio Solutions snc , in collaboration with Marco Cappellotto, of Prase Media Technologies.

One of the challenges of this audio installation is that the clean walls could not be filled with technological components., "as the whole balance of the interior would have been affected, so we designed a sprinkler sound system”, Explains Maurizio Moretti, from Audio Solutions.

Thanks to the collaboration with the architecture studio, “the solution is based on an elegant alternation of speakers and lamps - underlines this expert- which not only guarantees perfect audio coverage for the public, but it enhances the aesthetics".

The particular conical shape of the hanging speakers Biamp Desono combines with the design of wooden slatted chandeliers, designed by the E.M.B.T studio. What, once lit, reflect off the light-colored stone and cement floor and let light filter throughout the environment to create a harmonious effect.

The entire vestibule is crossed by an imposing cross, made with old beams recovered and supported by a hidden internal metal structure. "It is an architectural and symbolic sign that has always been present in the design and that was made at the end of the work.. The technological solution adopted allowed us to integrate the speakers, essential for correct acoustics in the presbytery, with a low visual impact", points out the architect María Elena Antonucci.

The sound system of the church of Santiago Apóstol also includes an external input and output arrangement for the mobile broadcasting system, that can be adjusted independently.

The speakers Desono DP6 by Biamp, whose systems are marketed by the network of integrators of AVIT Vision in Spain, integrate seamlessly into the environment created by the team of architects and technicians.
