Equipson showed at ISE its sustainable commitment in audio with Athos R
Environmentally friendly, this range of passive speakers from Equipson, together with professional amplifiers Work Pro Zenith and the WFS two-way enclosure 5 CX have been some of the novelties of the Spanish manufacturer in the contest.
The participation of Equipson in the recent edition 2022 of Ise in Barcelona it has made clear its effort to eliminate polluting materials from its products, with a complete 'green' redesign of the range of Athos speakers, which are now manufactured in eco-friendly polymer boxes.
These enclosures are as durable as fiberglass for outdoor environments and, ultimately, more biodegradable when they have reached the end of their useful life. In addition, the new material improves the acoustic performance of the speakers and is aesthetic, as it can be manufactured with the same appearance as wood, as explained from the company.
The Athos R passive series consists of three products: Athos 6R (250W); 8R (300W) and 10R (400W), all designed for outdoor applications, for which they have sealed connections on the rear panel so that the internal components are protected from water and moisture.
The range also benefits from different types of media – Or, X, and and fixed position – that offer installers many more options when it comes to placing the boxes in the optimal position for each application.
Another novelty is that Equipson has redesigned the front panel of the Athos R series, which is now more like the panels used in its popular range of Entar speakers, which he has also presented at ISE 2022.
At your stand, the Spanish manufacturer has shown visitors its range of professional amplifiers Work Pro Zenith Improved, which now includes four amplifiers of class D and a new front panel that facilitates greater airflow to cool the unit.
Compact electronics and high-quality components used throughout the Zenith range ensure reliability and an optimal degree of signal integration, as well as inserting a switched power supply. These amplifiers can work in stereo mode, bridge and parallel, with levels of power between 2x500W @ 4Ω and 2x1750W @ 4Ω.
Another of its characteristics is that they have balanced connections, an input signal sensitivity selector and numerous protection systems, so that amplifiers work safely in demanding installations without affecting their performance.
One of the highlights of the Equipson stand has been the WFS two-way speaker 5 CX, designed to deliver high-quality sound in numerous applications, for which it incorporates a 10" bass-reflex coaxial woofer, a 1" tweeter and a covered rear with up to five power take-off positions (12.5W to 200W in line device and 70/100V for high impedance projects).
The WFS speaker 5 CX, available in black or white, features a high-strength ABS material housing IP 66, suitable for indoor and outdoor enclosures, as theatres, shopping malls, terraces, Pools, Boardwalks, amusement parks, Etc.
Also present by the hand of Equipson in the edition 2022 of ISE in Barcelona, LightShark showcased its range of devices alongside the latest software update, which includes features like Autosave, exclude Fixture, freeze Fixture/Channel, Focus Active Cue, exclusion of playback from control by Grand Master, improvements to Cue controls, and so on.
The new software, which can be obtained from the OpenBeta Testing download area of Lightshark, also fixes several bugs and provides added support for reading extfat volumes.
