The experimentation room of the NHM in Vienna attracts the visitor with a large Led videowall by Leyard

The Natural History Museum (NHM) Vienna has more than 30 millions of objects and is one of the most important in the world in its field. In addition to the conservation of the collection of objects and dedicated exhibitions, basic research is carried out in various areas of the Earth sciences, biological and human.

Bajo el histórico techo del Museo de Historia Natural de Viena y en colaboración con Ars Electronica, the company 7reasons Medien y una serie de contratistas y socios, a completely new space has been created, the Deck 50.
It is a space that invites visitors of all ages to explore in a playful way the connections between research and contemporary problems of society and allows an inspiring vision of the world of science. Combine a modern laboratory, a stage with a large panoramic Led videowall and a meeting area, open, with bleachers and multimedia furniture.
La instalación virtual del Futurelab de Ars Electronica permite a los visitantes sumergirse en mundos inmersivos. A scanning station, integrated into a large mobile drawing board, enables integration of active designs into virtual worlds, that are made directly visible in the videowall.
A high-resolution infrared camera, that captures the depth of visitors, allows them to immerse themselves in a world of augmented reality and interact with the dinosaurs in the Led videowall.
Deck's ambitious strategy and goal 50 was and is to invite and encourage society to discover, try, acquire knowledge, discuss and ask questions. In addition, 50 offers a platform for various workshops. It is a lively place that facilitates the intense exchange of knowledge and ideas between visitors, the conservatives, scientists and museum staff, involving them in the scientific and research process.
Multimedia equipment
The led videowall of panoramic style of 10.5×1,9 Leyard meters provides crisp, bright images and is a brilliant setting for NHM's scientific and virtual content.
With their 20 square meters extends for approximately 2/3 of the exhibition hall, creating a seamless background and increasing the visual clarity and aesthetics of the Deck suite 50.
This multimedia installation is complemented by another Led videowall of 2.9×1,9 metre, transparent LCD screens and interactive touch.
