the Lorca City Council held an immersive multi-screen exhibition in which Telemag, partner of Estalella Audiovisual, used two M-Vision Laser 21K projectors from Digital Projection.
"Lorca. The seams of time" is an initiative that was carried out in the town of Murcia to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the earthquakes of 2011. It is an audiovisual exhibition that carried out the Town hall.
Designed mainly for the children of the schools both for those of the municipality and those of the neighboring localities. The main objective was to carry out an educational dissemination to publicize why earthquakes occur, what are its effects, how to act before one and everything that entails the process of a reconstruction of a city like Lorca.
This immersive multi-screen exhibition was based on a didactic guide, in comic format, edited by the Consistory and whose co-author is the professor of Geology, Juan Antonio Lopez Martin. He explains "that in geological times ten years is nothing. However, on a human scale it is enough that several generations of young people did not see or remember what happened that May afternoon.".
On a visual level, the installation was carried out with a projection surface of more than 480 square meters, divided into three screens in different positions to achieve an immersive effect.
Two projectors have been used M-Vision Laser 21K of Digital Projection. A model of 1 DLP chip 21.000 Lumens, with WUXGA resolution (1.920×1.200). In its realization has participated the partner of Estalella Audiovisual, Telemag, who has been working more than 30 years behind the scenes.
On the other hand, Antonia Perez, Councilor for Education and Youth of the City of Lorca, explains that the sound system is also installed in the project Space Map of Meyer Sound, "so that this becomes the first event in the Region of Murcia that has this audio system and the first events at European level".
The Space Map system carried out a virtual mapping of the room and executed movements in real time throughout the scene making the attendees participate in the event itself at levels. "For this, a total of 80.000 watts of sound distributed throughout the space".
