Arthur Holm DynamicX2 helps decision-making in the Supreme Court of Nigeria

The project has been designed by MBR Computers, which has replicated the same configuration in other Nigerian courts of law, with DynamicX2 motorized monitors from Arthur Holm as protagonists.

the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the largest justice agency in the country, is headquartered in the central district of the capital, Abuja, known as Three Arms Zone due to its proximity to the so-called Presidential Complex and the National Assembly.

Decision-making in the legal field- either by judges or by a jury- it is an extremely delicate process, since all the agents involved, Lawyers, judges and jury, need to visualize and listen to evidence, evidence and testimonials both in documentary support and in video and audio with the highest possible quality and clarity.

In order to find a technological solution to deliver justice efficiently and transparently, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has completed a project, designed by the technology consultant MBR Computers, which has replicated the same configuration made in other Nigerian justice facilities.

The solution is based on motorized monitors DynamicX2 of Arthur Holm, with screen sizes of 17,3 inches and 23.8", with Full HD and 4K resolution, respectively, as has been done in other entities of this country (more data in Digital AV).

The use of motorized monitors and microphones, retractable cameras and speakers have allowed most trial participants to attend remotely, maintaining efficiency and reducing costs.

Remote audiences require reliable audio and video equipment that provides the highest quality and security. In addition, it is necessary to optimize the space and provide the rooms with flexibility so that they can accommodate a variable number of people. For example, the use of secure communication platforms allows connection with prisons and locations around the world.

One of the advantages of using motorized monitors and microphones is that they provide total flexibility in case a certain social distance is needed between the attendees of the room., since they can be used one in two and leave these hidden and protected inside the furniture.

In addition, having a monitor in front of the user increases concentration, since it avoids the feeling of remoteness and allows to perfectly visualize texts and numerical data. Judges, Witnesses, Lawyers, Etc. thus preserve eye contact at all times.

Motorized speakers are also located close to the listener, increasing the intelligibility and quality of room acoustics. The use of individual motorized cameras ensures a perfect capture of the image and an optimization of the surface of the tables when they are in a hidden position.
