Moment Factory enriches Hong Kong airport passenger experience
This airport has opted for digital signage solutions Moment Factory to foster innovation and highlight the country's culture.
From the beginning of July, in the Terminal 1 of the Hong Kong International Airport has different initiatives carried out by Moment Factory that invite, visitors to celebrate the spirit of the city.
Each facility is strategically located to enhance the passenger experience at key moments of their airport journey.
In the Meeters and Greeters Hall, Departing and arriving travelers are greeted by a Crystal Elevator revealing snapshots of Hong Kong culture; while Waterfall Gardens encourages moments of rest with a spectacular interactive ecosystem; and at boarding gates, Totems of Joy combines real-time flight information with creative content to offer every departing traveler a farewell “Selfie friendly”.
"The goal was to create a relaxing environment but one that will also feature the intelligence of Hong Kong.", Explains Amy Chartrand, creative director of Moment Factory. "Passengers will see the features and find them beautiful., while those who have time to stop and participate will be rewarded with surprises.".
Hong Kong Airport Authority officials invited Moment Factory to collaborate in the early stages of the process, which allowed technical and creative teams to develop concepts and content that, although this is an update, are integrated into the complex airport environment.
Moment Factory's history of enhancing the passenger experience with creativity and technology includes previous projects at Singapore's Changi Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and Tokyo Shinjuku Station.
