The Châtelet theatre chooses Robe T1 Profiles for its stage lighting
Forty T1 Profile Moving Lights Steal are added to the new lighting system of this emblematic theatre in Paris, After its electric and scenographic renovation.
With the capacity to 2.500 people, the Châtelet Theatre is an emblematic space of the arts and culture of Paris, which has reopened its doors after completing an ambitious architectural and technological renovation project that has lasted several years.
The new lighting system now has forty moving lights Robe T1 Profile, supplied by the manufacturer's French subsidiary, to replace the old non-automatic projectors in front of and above the stage.
"There was an urgent need for lighting that would enhance the whole experience for the audience, The Artists, designers and technicians", Remember Bernard Maby, Lighting Director of the Châtelet Theatre.
The reasons for this choice are based on three specific features of the T1 luminaire, as Maby explains: A patented Framing Blind Module, with four leaves that can be placed individually, Rotation +/- 60º of the full framing system and CMY color mixing with the DataSwatch filters.
Added to this is a full range of whites corrected with the new RCC algorithm (Robe Color Calibration), that offers a CCT control from 2,700K to 8,000K, as well as a precise theatrical regulation and at a high level of CRI 95+ to achieve very natural skin tones on stage.
Another element highlighted by Bernard Maby's team is the Led motor by T1 Profile and its silent fan. "The luminaire is very quiet, And this is exactly what we were looking for, as it adapts perfectly to the environment and to the solution of the lighting problems we face at Châtelet".
On Special Occasions, Theatre also uses gobos to project towards the auditorium and audience. While the T1 profiles located on the sides of the stage are rarely used for gobos, those above and flush with it offer a more immersive experience for the public, where light and architectural forms are combined with the spectacular period decoration of the room, Decorated with red velvet, Large chandeliers, Gold details and plasterwork.
The rest of the T1 luminaires have been placed laterally on the balcony of the third level to illuminate the stage, as well as to highlight the 19th-century paintings that adorn the underside of the large vaulted central ceiling, although they can also be used for working with beams.
The theatre's managers have recently acquired four Esprite FollowSpots and the same number of base stations of the remote monitoring system RoboSpot from this manufacturer.
