Diners who enter the kitchen of the Romanza restaurant in Reno (Snowfall, Us.) enjoy the atmosphere, Odors, the cultural flavours and aromas of traditional Italy and its region of Tuscany.
The Romanza Dining Experience, which is part of the Peppermill Resort Hotel & Spa, has been intensified with an indoor architectural LED lighting installation by Anolis.
The new lighting scheme, Composed of luminaires Anolis Eminere and ArcSource 4MC, was designed and specified by John Priebe, Head of Production Lighting for the Entire Peppermill Complex, that coordinates the lighting of all areas with color-changing equipment, as well as illuminating the many events and conventions held in the complex.
Anolis' systems replace an old lighting scheme that highlighted Romanza's famous vaulted ceiling and other scenic elements. The change has come about because a more up-to-date solution was sought, Contemporary & Sustainable.
Robe's devices had already been used in other areas of the resort for the past ten years, and some products of its Anolis brand were again the chosen option for the new project. Robust, high-quality light sources with good performance and optimal colors were needed.
Anolis was chosen for its colors and the ease of programming the luminaires, as well as for flexibility and customization of branding to suit an individual project.
The new infrastructure allows the interior of the dome to be illuminated by 52 ArcSource 4MC (RGBW), which are found in a number of 13 scenic torches and are part of a curved wall that surrounds the restaurant's main space.
These ArcSources work in conjunction with 20 Eminere equipped with 35x wide-angle lenses 0 Degrees. All of them are fixed to a structural ring located a few meters below the ceiling that also supports the upper plinth of a series of Corinthian stone columns that surround the hall.
additionally, other 12 ArcSource 4MC luminaires are installed in the ring, specifically in three ornate Romanesque statues that form a striking piece located in the main area.
The dome's roof also now has its clouds subtly delineated with a new LED tape and retains its characteristic twinkling fiber-optic stars, highlighted by a stage with new lighting.
John was very interested in using Eminere luminaires, as this is a new generation of Anolis products that can work in single pixel mode to offer greater creative freedom.
Three main configurations have been programmed for the new daylights, Night and fire-, that give the room color and atmosphere, a task that has been completed using a grandMA3 Command Wing XT and a grandMA Web Remote via WIFI MA Lighting.
