Modulo Player boosts Patti Smith's immersive exposure Evidence & Soundwalk Collective

This multidisciplinary exhibition that can be seen in the Centre Pompidou of Paris has an audiovisual montage based on the multimedia server Modulo Player of Modulo Pi, Synchronized with spatial audio system Usomo.

the Georges Pompidou National Centre of Art and Culture (Centre Pompidou) Hosts the multidisciplinary and immersive exhibition Evidence, designed by Patti Smith and the Soundwalk Collective. In this exploratory facility, Visitors are immersed in a poetic journey through objects, texts and photographs, as well as the screening of films accompanied by the soundtrack of the exhibition.

The audiovisual montage is based on the multimedia server Modulo Player de Modulo Pi, Synchronized with interactive spatial audio system Usomo.

The exhibition Evidence is an extension of Perfect Vision, A triptych of albums co-created between 2017 and 2021 by American musician Patti Smith and Stephan Crasneanscki by Soundwalk Collective.

In a space of more than 400 square meters, inside the Centre Pompidou, the immersive exhibition transcribes the poetic universe of the albums recorded in the Sierra Tarahumara of Mexico, Ethiopia's Abyssinian Valley and India's Himalayan summit.

The exhibition space presents objects, Works carried out in situ, as well as photographs, original texts and artwork by Patti Smith.

To support the immersive experience, An audiovisual system that combines video projection and spatial audio has been deployed.

Before entering the exhibition hall, Each visitor is equipped with headphones that reproduce the sound creation of the exhibition. Based on Usomo technology, The system seeks to be interactive, with sounds that change depending on the visitor's location in the room. In addition, Multiple landscapes are projected on three sections of walls thanks to 5 Video projectors EB-PU2220B of 20K Epson, powered by two media servers Modulo Player of Modulo Pi.

Media servers are used to manage the soft edge blending, as well as the playback of videos in format Apple ProRes.

For a complete immersion experience, Modulo Pi has developed a function to support the proprietary timecode of the Usomo spatial sound system. Like this, Modulo Player ensures synchronization between projected media and soundtrack played on audio headphones.
