The Venue at Thunder Valley relies on L-Acoustics technology again
With a Kudo SB28 system of L-Acoustics installed in its nine-hundred-seat hall for twelve years, The Venue at Thunder Valley has relied again on this manufacturer to equip its concert space, with the capacity to 4.500 people, with K series enclosures, A and X.
The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort is a new entertainment complex, which has a concert hall with capacity for 4.500 seats, inaugurated just a month ago in the Californian city of Lincoln (Us.) and that it is already demonstrating the value it offers in its shows, through whose stage the band has passed Eagles, Bruno Mars, Santana and more.
One of the attractions for world-renowned artists such as those mentioned is the acoustics offered by the room and the new technologies they have installed., as they are key elements that further enrich their actions.
In this sense and after using for about twelve years a system Kudo/SB28 of L-Acoustics in your space Pano Hall, with capacity for nine hundred seats, The owners of The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort have once again relied on the technology of this manufacturer to equip their new concert hall with the venues of the K series, A and X.
In this project have participated the team of applications of L-Acoustics and Akustiks, Consultant who specified the audio design of the new room, together with the installer CTM Sound to deploy the sound system that suited the requirements of The Venue at Thunder Valley.
The two main systems consist of fourteen K2 by side, and reinforced with two other arrays flown from seven K1-SB subwoofers on each side, providing enough power to cover practically the entire seating area, including its rear and mid-level balcony, with full-range, fully coherent sound.
In addition, The system has more low-end power coming from a dozen KS28 subwoofers covering the end of the room with a flown central group.
The first rows are covered by eight Kiva II speakers at the edge of the stage, while at the top of the two balconies have been installed four arrays of three speakers A15i apiece, two Focus and one Wide, to provide complete coverage of that area. The artists have twenty L-Acoustics monitor wedges on stage X15.
The system is powered by twenty-three LA12X amplified controllers and one LA4X, with a pair of system processors Q1 in FOH, enabling guest consoles or EQ. The audio transport is done through a Milan AVB network, managed by a dozen LS10 network switches located throughout the space, including FOH, Video control and amplification room.
"The combination of K2 and A15i for the upper balcony meant we didn't have to open up the main arrays as much to get to the upper seats," he explains. Chris Miller, engineer and owner of CTM Sound-. We found all the tools we needed at L-Acoustics to fit perfectly into this project..
The result of this design "is not just high-quality sound., but there is very little difference in SPL from the front to the back of the room, with uniform and consistent coverage at all times", Miller says..
This isn't Thunder Valley Casino Resort's first L-Acoustics sound system. his Pano Hall Account from the year 2011 with a Kudo system, Composed of two arrays of twelve speakers each. Some of them have been reused as side fill for the new room, along with several SB28 subwoofers. "It is a classic model of speakers from this manufacturer, and they sound great", adds Miller.
Scott Prentice, production manager for The Venue at Thunder Valley, Remember the presentation of Eagles in the new installation: "When a band like this comes along., Accustomed to top-notch sound technology, having a system like K2 makes all the difference, in addition to saving time and labor costs for artists on tour".
L-Acoustics technicians adjusted the K2 system of the room, Points this responsible. "Other spaces tend to be multipurpose rooms., some of which happen to be concerts. But The Venue at Thunder Valley is a theater designed specifically for music and has a public address system that makes it the best in our market.".
