RTVE modernizes its studies in Spain with Alfalite Led screens
Media Technologies Data has won the tender to supply 964 Led panels manufacturer Alfalite to the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (RTVE).
The Spanish public media company RTVE has launched an ambitious project of Renewal of all its studies nationwide to provide them with new features and cutting-edge technology that improve the experience of their viewers at home, providing flexible forms, different and more exciting to present the information.
All studios are equipped with Augmented Reality Technology next-generation, for production teams to provide a greater sense of space and creative versatility more dynamically, innovative and impactful that will make a real difference for your audience.
In this process, the European manufacturer of Led screens Alfalite, based in the Huelva town of Rociana del Condado, has supplied 964 units of its ModularPix Pro panels 1.9 ORIM (Optical resin injection module) to RTVE, after Media Technologies Data will win the tender to supply, Install and integrate visual equipment.
The road to winning the tender for the supply of screens for RTVE studios has not been easy. The corporation analyzed each of the solutions available in the market in order to find the most suitable to lead the visual line of all its programs.
To do this, the technical team of RTVE hired a Independent laboratory that could evaluate the response of the screens of the main manufacturers in a real emission environment.
At the time of analyze the best Led screens for studies, RTVE engineers especially valued issues such as the viewing angle, the ability to maintain your colorimetry at low light levels, as well as the electromagnetic compatibility of the screens.
The choice of Alfalite ModularPix Pro panels responded to these requirements, since they have a pixel pass of 1,9 Mm, Optical parameters and CD/m2 brightness of more than 1.800 Nits, which provides extraordinary stability of the viewing angle and allows you to record the Led wall even from extreme camera angles.
"These big screens work in television studios where there is a lot of communication between radio stations., headphones or wireless microphones -explained the team of RTVE engineers-. It is essential to take into account this electromagnetic environment, So we required these displays to comply with European laboratory standards.".
As this team of experts adds,, "We were looking for Low display power settings and the absence of lead residues from soldering components. One of our concerns was that the manufacturer of the Led screens met all the Environmental criteria, as they will be used intensively".
In terms of sustainability and compatibility, two features distinguish Alfalite Led panels from others on the market: its low average consumption (35 Watts) and its low levels of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC Certification), so that the cabinets of this manufacturer can coexist without problems with other electronic systems without interference, as often happens in TV studios or on movie sets.
As winner of the contest, Data Media Technologies will be responsible for integrating Alfalite Led screens in RTVE. The corporation will also use Camera Tracking Systems Mo-Sys integrated into Alfalite panels to work in a VP XR environment in its news, another of your requirements when selecting Led modules. In addition, will also use Unreal Engine of Epic Games as a graphics engine.
specifically, have been installed 240 Led panels Alfalite ModularPix Pro 1.9 ORIM on the news set of Canal 24h, located in the well-known Torrespaña in Madrid. This renovated and elegant studio has large Led screens that provide enormous flexibility, with endless ways to bring stories to life.
RTVE has also deployed 550 Alfalite Led panels in the fourteen territorial centres spread throughout Spain, whose sets now have Led screens to show images and graphic resources with modern methods of storytelling, plus a more flexible space, Dynamic and efficient with possibilities for interviews and debates.
likewise, The study for meteorological services located in the Sant Cugat production centre (Barcelona) enjoy a Led mural composed of 174 Alfalite modules, which will allow to expand and improve the weather map so that presenters can narrate the weather of the day in a dynamic way.
"We are very satisfied with the work done with Datos Media Technologies and the technical team of RTVE for the renovation of all their studies," he says. Sebastian Cabrera, CTO of Alfalite-. We are also proud that our product passed all independent laboratory gloss tests., colorimetry, Viewing angle, frequency, consumption and CE test, which were tender requirements".
As this manager points out, "this was a challenge that Alfalite was able to overcome thanks to all the research and development work we put into our ModularPix Pro P1.9 ORIM panels., to turn them into the Led panels with better performance, lower consumption and greater reliability of the market".
As published Digital AV, Alfalite's collaboration with RTVE began in 2021 with the installation of its panels Led ModularPix Pro P2 6 SMD in the Prado del Rey studios, from where television programs such as Spain Direct, The Time 1 or Here the Earth.
That same year, RTVE also renewed the study 2 of the daily news located in Torrespaña with Alfalite ModularPix Pro P1.9 ORIM and modernized the sports of Sant Cugat with ModularPix Pro 1.9 Smd.
The Led panels used in the studies of RTVE have the ORIM technology, a new system of termination of the Led panels by means of a Optical resin injection that improves the Precision between modules (<0,5 Mm). In addition, provides a175º extended horizontal and vertical viewing angle.
Led panels with ORIM technology have a Superior anti-static protection (Esd > 10Kv), Better heat dissipation parameters and excellent impact resistance, liquids, Chemicals and fire (with UL94 certification). They are easier to clean, suffer less deterioration and have the shortest time to repair in the market, According to data tested by the company.
