Electrosonic designs an interactive tour at Skydeck Chicago

On the top floor of the iconic Willis Tower of Chicago, Electrosonic has integrated advanced AV solutions, that provide an interactive tour to visitors who come to this spectacular observation deck and its museum to learn about the history of the North American city.

Skydeck Chicago is located on the floor 103 of the famous Willis Tower, providing visitors with stunning views of the skyline of the so-called 'Windy City' in space The Ledge.

The Workspace Specialist Owners EQ Office has carried out an ambitious remodeling of this space to introduce new Interactive digital installations and a museum on the lower level, to create an amazing space and offer a unique and inspiring experience to learn, entertain and excite by showcasing the history of the city.

The integrator Electrosonic, In partnership with immersive experience specialists Chicago Scenic Studios, Thinc Design and Squint/Opera, He has been in charge of designing and integrating the systems of Led display, projection and distributed audio to renovate Skydeck Chicago.

Visitors begin their interactive experience on the lower level of this space, in which a museum has been created to show the history of this city that begins with Origins, ranging from the famous Great Chicago Fire to the present day, without forgetting their traditions, Monuments and places of interest, accompanied by videos, Animations and motion graphics, Lighting and sound effects, Etc.

In the exhibition Origins are used Ultra-short-throw lenses and a combined projection in which Electrosonic has shown its technological engineering to merge architecture and storytelling, with a solution of curved projection to offer a spectacular panorama of Chicago, while visitors experience the sensation of flying through it.

The exhibition called Fly through architecture (Flying through architecture) It stars a large wall of Led video, of 4×2 metre, takes visitors on a dynamic tour of Chicago's architecture, Its most emblematic skyscrapers and buildings.

The immersive tour of the city continues through the so-called L Train, in which, simulating a train, eight famous neighborhoods are virtually visited, that are recreated with Led screens and CGI effects, and are displayed in the windows of the carriage. For its part, Map Wall recreates an urban courtyard of Chicago, augmented with detailed information through animated data.

The visit is always accompanied by background music, with a distributed audio system; advertisements and promotions, and with Digital Signage Displays that provide up-to-date information during the same.
