The Ultra-Compact Media Server Pixera Mini Dual AV Stumpfl Provides seamless projection images for this museum's new permanent exhibition, called 'Golden eye on the Cosmos', about the James Weeb Space Telescope.

Golden eye on the Cosmos is the new interactive and permanent exhibition of the Hong Kong Space Museum in which visitors can learn about the innovative technology and scientific objectives of the James Webb Space Telescope, the world's largest infrared.

As this is an exhibition that relies heavily on image and video projection, "it was essential to have a media server solution that would ensure stable playback, as well as the flexibility of projection mapping and geometric correction functions", Explains Jason Yeung, System Integrator Responsible CosmoVision, also based in Hong Kong.

To meet this goal, Yeung and his team specified a single Pixera mini Dual server of AV Stumpfl, that manages all the content of Layered Video and Output Projection Mapping, including the spectacular projection-mapped images of the cosmos.

"Installation was relatively simple, but the exhibition space was comparatively small," Yeung points out, So I had the Perfect format to hide behind the exposure without compromising performance or stability".

Due to limited space for installation, The high-brightness projector from Christie Used in the exhibition had to be equipped with an extreme wide-angle fisheye lens, which created a significant distortion. "Hence, all the correction and deformation of the image was done within Pixera to ensure that the content was not distorted or distorted in any way.", Yeung adds.

the Pixera Control software It also fulfilled another customer requirement, as the head of CosmoVision points out: "They wanted to have control of the show without involving another third-party system, so it became the perfect complementary solution to interact with other elements of the exhibition".
