Magewell Modator: New Range of Modular IP Conversion Solutions

The new Modator family from Magewell Brings the reliability and low-latency performance of the company's standalone encoders and set-top boxes, in a high-density modular format for rack mounting.

Bridging traditional and IP-based workflows, Magewell offered in its new range Modator A modular solution, currently composed of Four models with video connectivity NDI, more will be added in the coming months.

The Modator family will make its debut during Magewell's participation in NAB Show 2024 (booth C6816), that will take place in the 14 to the 17 April in Las Vegas (Us.), with the presentation of the first modules mounted on the New chassis Modator 2U, Designed to accommodate standard rack deployments with slots for up to ten rigs.

Each module Modator has its own Network Connectivity, Can FAnointing Independently to convert baseband video/audio signals and IP streams, with a Web-based management interface.

The Modator 2U frame and each installed module can also be configured, control and Monitor centrally through management software Control Hub (optional) by Magewell.

Users can Configure the settings of Casting Network and monitor the status of the chassis and modules installed in Modator 2 through the Led touch screen integrated 4.8" or a web interface. The chassis features Dual Power Supplies and with optimized heat dissipation for a operation 24/7.

Magewell Modator Models

• Pro Convert HDMI Plus Module: designed to encode HDMI input signals into high-definition IP streams in the NDI High Bandwidth format.
• Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus Module: encodes HDMI input signals in NDI High Bandwidth with up to 4K resolution (4.096×2,160p) to 60 frames per second.
• Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI Module: ready to decode IP streams up to 2,560×1,440p in a wide range of formats (including NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, TVU ISSP and H.264 or H.265, sent via RTMP, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-TS and more) for HDMI output.
• Pro Convert Module for NDI to AIO: with the same decoding features as the Pro Convert module for NDI to HDMI, but with simultaneous HDMI and SDI outputs up to 1,080p60.
