Powersoft brings its sound to Kings Place's multifunctional space
A column speaker system has been installed in the Battlebridge room Bose Professional MA12EX and the Powersoft Mezzo 602 AD and Mezzo 322 AD, that they deliver 600 W and 320 W output respectively.
The System Integrator Marquee AV, based in the United Kingdom, took advantage of the discretion and flexibility of the São Paulo's Powersoft Mezzo Amplifiers for the AV installation that has been performed in the Kings Place, one Multifunctional venue for conferences and events in King's Cross in London.
Located near landmarks such as the British Library, the Bloomsbury Theatre and the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Kings Place is a mixed-use development that includes an arts and creative hub, Office Space, Event and conference rooms, Bars and dining rooms, as well as a beachfront restaurant. The recently renovated Battlebridge Room is in the heart of the Kings Cross complex, its modularity, Natural light and panoramic views (to Regent's Canal) help make it one of the most popular spaces in the place.
Kings Place is a Mark AV customer and when it came time to upgrade the Battlebridge Room AV equipment, The place approached the integrator again, to design and install the new system. Stacey Tough, Marquee AV Director and Project Manager for Kings Place Facility, He explains that his design philosophy was to be as discreet as possible, combining the sophisticated, minimalist style of both Battlebridge and the larger Kings Place precinct.
To that end,, Tough specified a speaker system of Bose Professional MA12EX Column, Discreetly installed on either side of the screens at the focal point of the room, and Powersoft's small but powerful Mezzo amplifiers, that offer all the power and reliability of the manufacturer's largest installation.
For the Battlebridge Room, Marque opted for a two-channel amplifier Mezzo 602 AD and a Mezzo 322 AD, that they deliver 600 W and 320 W output respectively to the Bose Professional system. In addition, ultra-flexible AD models add audio networking capabilities via Dante/AES67, as well as an internal Gigabit Ethernet switch with a second port, allowing multiple products to share the same network.
With space to accommodate up to 400 people for a variety of events, including networking receptions, Corporate dinners and wedding celebrations, it was important that the Battlebridge Room system be flexible enough to handle a wide range of applications. With its analogue and digital inputs, state-of-the-art built-in DSP and power sharing capabilities, the Mezzo platform was the best solution.
Designed for corporate applications, hotel and educational, Mezzo Leverages Technology Smart Rail Management (SRM) to reduce power consumption, providing integrators with unrivalled high energy efficiency values, Power density and thermal dissipation. By minimizing the amount of energy needed to run the amplifier, end-users can benefit from low running costs and lower CO2 emissions.
Complementing the Powersoft amplifiers and the Bose speaker system are a touch screen Q-SYS TSC-70-G3, a processor Q-SYS Core 110f v2 and a Blackmagic Videohub, which includes a matrix Smart Videohub 12×12 SDI, for video content.
Commenting on Battlebridge's new audio-visual system, Tough comments: "Both aspects of AV in this space have undergone significant improvements. The speaker system has improved sound distribution throughout the conference room and the SDI implementation has stabilized and simplified the video path element of the requirement.".
"We use Powersoft regularly in our projects, as their products are of high quality and reliable. With its compact size, its wide range of inputs and, in particular, its compatibility with Dante, Mezzo AD was the perfect choice to deliver high-quality audio and remote control and monitoring of the new AV system.", adds Tough.
