The tour Eonarium Experiences, Organized by the Artists' Collective Projektil, comprises a series of immersive 360° sound and light shows in historic churches across Europe. Each installation requires between 8 and 16 projectors and Pixera is the key to the management and synchronization of these equipment.

The Eonarium Experiences Tour, organized by Zurich-based artist collective Projektil, It comprises a series of immersive 360° sound and light shows in historic churches from all over Europe. Each experience of 30 to 45 Minutes Transform Sacred Sites with Digital Art, transporting audiences on magnificent visual journeys that honor both the places and the art.

By projecting images onto some of Europe's most treasured buildings, in cities such as Madrid, Liverpool, Hamburg, Marseille, Geneva and Lyon, the tour offers new perspectives on classic spaces such as the Church of San Juan (Johanneskirche) in Stuttgart. Using Piera's advanced media server technology, Projektil creates an immersive experience that respects the character of each building and captivates audiences with dynamic storytelling.

"Our goal with the project is to create a transformative experience that enhances these spaces with digital art", Says Partik Rost, Technical Director of Projektil. "The international tour has integrated historical architecture with immersive experiences, and has covered more than 30 cities in Europe and the United States".

Rost joined Projektil, an internationally renowned artist collective from Zurich, earlier this year. The team includes visual artists, Musicians, programmers and designers who create immersive experiences at the intersection of art and technology.

For every installation, Projektil team installs between 8 and 16 Projectors, Managed by Pitera. "Pixera plays a crucial role in the management and synchronization of these projectors, guaranteeing images that adapt to the unique structure of each space, creating an integrated and captivating experience", explains Rost.

Projektil selected the Pixera media server for its availability and reputation among AV technicians around the world. "Pixera is distributed by Lang Group, with whom we have close cooperation and who we can rely on for assistance, which made him the natural choice for the project", adds Rost.

The content, created in-house by Projektil, includes images depicting the formation of the Earth, from cosmic chaos to thriving natural landscapes, Using vibrant colors, Abstract shapes and dynamic transitions.

the Projection Show Mapping combines these elements with sound, Provided by D&b audiotechnik, to create a Multisensory experience that is cosmic and intimate for the audience.

To meet the demands of this extensive project, Projektil trained nine pixera operators, many of whom were new to the platform, with direct support from AV Stumpfl. This hands-on experience and training allowed the team to quickly master the media server, ensuring smooth operation for each future event.

Each Eonarium installation is designed as a temporary experience, which usually lasts between two and four months, before moving on to the next city. The tour is currently taking place in Zurich. "The end result is fantastic and we are very happy with it", Rost concludes.

Looking to the future

Following the continued success of Eonarium, Projektil plans to launch DAIA (Digital And Immersive Art by Projektil), a permanent initiative that will offer immersive installations throughout the year in selected locations.

With strategic projects in collaboration with Zurich Zoo and other prestigious partners, DAIA is active in both Zurich and Geneva, driving the expansion of Projektil's digital art reach. Pixera remains a fundamental part of the company's audiovisual setup, Ensuring immersive experiences everywhere.
