It offers the same audio excellence found in concert halls, while meeting the specific requirements of your architectural design.

The grand lobby of Atlantis The Royal features a spacious space that stretches across the 80 metre, with roofs of 20 meters high and spectacular floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The challenge was to deliver concert hall audio quality while preserving the visual sophistication of one of Dubai's most striking interior spaces.

“The brief called for an audio system that could meet the highest professional standards, respecting the spectacular architecture of the lobby”, Explains Huw Godfrey, Director of Systems Integration at Creative Technology Middle East (CTME). “We designed a discreet solution that offers great versatility, as it offers refined background music and concert-quality live performances, even in a space defined by high glass walls and reflective surfaces”.

Invisible integration, High performance

The X and S Series Speakers of L-Acoustics with custom RAL colors blend in with architectural elements and offer uniform coverage on multiple levels. The system provides a subtle ambience during daylight hours and is powered for evening performances. All while remaining virtually invisible to guests.

“We have created an audio environment that enhances the space, complementing the architectural magnificence of the venue and offering exceptional sound quality. L-Acoustics was chosen for its ability to connect to infrastructure Q-SYS existent, offer customised RAL colour options and a sleek design that blends invisibly into the space”, Designates Danny Lord, Senior Project Manager at CTME.

The installation leverages L-Acoustics' most architecturally refined products. The Syva collinear sets ultra-thin, Who measure alone 170 mm wide, are integrated into architectural columns and wall edges, while the speakers Soka Compacts disappear between the design elements of the structure. Fourteen boxes 5XT coaxials are concealed within the wall moldings at height, providing precise coverage to the upper levels of the space.

This carefully placed speaker array ensures consistent, high-quality sound throughout the spacious lobby. The system is completed with four SB10i subwoofers and six Syva Low for deep and rich low frequencies, with four LA2Xi and two LA4X amplified drivers providing power and two audio network devices Auvitran AVBx3 that ensure seamless integration and control.

The result is an audio experience that demonstrates how professional sound can enhance the luxury hotel experience. L-Acoustics' solution highlights how world-class audio performance can be achieved while maintaining the visual refinement expected in premium spaces.
