True to its strategy of bringing immersive audio technology to more people, DS100 and DS100M signal processors have been augmented with three expandable I/O license sizes, allowing the system to be adapted d&b Soundscape to any application.

d&B Audiotechnik has announced new expandable I/O sizes for the DS100 and DS100M signal processors, An extension of the ecosystem d&b Soundscape. This allows users to tailor their Soundscape system to specific needs, whether for small installations, large-scale immersive tours or events.

With the introduction of expandable I/O, DS100 firmware has been updated to offer three license sizes, allowing customers to select the amount of I/O they prefer. This extension provides a more flexible and cost-effective entry point for projects with d&b Soundscape, while allowing larger productions to benefit from increased channel capacity.

Current DS100 and DS100M users will receive a free firmware update, which will increase its maximum I/O throughput from 64×64 to 128×64. In addition, Two new I/O sizes for DS100 will be introduced, providing 64×24 and 64×64, offering a wider range of prices and application sizes. Licenses can be upgraded at any time, allowing you to tailor the amount of I/O to your projects and needs without requiring additional hardware.

The expansion of the DS100 range is in line with the strategy of d&b audiotechnik leading technology Immersive Audio to a wider audience. With the introduction of scalable solutions, d&b Soundscape can now support smaller applications, as places of worship, Clubs, restaurants and tour facilities, while enhancing complex productions such as musical theatre, where a higher number of I/O inputs simplifies scheduling and scene management.

In addition to I/O licenses, The available function groups have also been duplicated to facilitate the administration of more complex systems. En-Scene will now be included pre-installed on all future DS100 signal processors, ensuring that users will immediately benefit from its advanced object-based blending capabilities.
