Arec combines tradition and technology in NCCU's new calligraphy class
National Chengchi University has optimized traditional arts education with modern lecture capture and learning technologies such as the Arec Media Capture.
Considered one of the oldest and most renowned in Taiwan, the National Chengchi University (NCCU) is. Originally founded in Nanjing in 1927 as a training institution for civil servants, later moved to Taipei, becoming the first national university to be re-established in the country.

At the core of the system is the Arec LS-200 Media Station. It is a device of Lecture recording and streaming that supports capturing up to two connected video sources, allowing users to create professional-quality content at the touch of a button. In the classroom, The station takes video from a third-party network camera and combines it with the view of a computer and a document camera.
The system is managed by the DS-AC1 warning station, that simplifies switching between sources. The solution makes it easy for the user to switch to a desired recording and streaming theme, Changing video sources on the fly, choosing what is displayed on the projectors and screens in the room and handling the camera presets.
Smart podium
In the classroom, the DS-AC1's controls are accessed via a smart podium that houses all AV devices.
A small Interactive Display on the podium shows the Control Panel Station, while another shows the mixed video output of the Media Station: what you're recording and streaming at the moment.
Inside the podium there is also a audio mixer ACT-343 of Mipro paired with an amplifier. These devices serve as audio sources for the LS-200 and are used to transmit sound to the speakers in the room. In addition, A document chamber is mounted on the podium, providing high-definition images of hieroglyphs and other works.
